Rustic Harbor Marina was built and established by father, Joseph
B. Kijak and son, Joseph B. Kijak JR. Two former Tavern owners
from Chicago who moved to Fox Lake with a dream. Originally
planned to be built on the south west shores of Grass Lake,
soon changed and was established off the shores of Nippersink
Creek. The two had little knowledge of equipment, and
craftsmanship, however, with help of friends they soon learned
the trades. After many long years the marina was completed and
stands how it does today.
